🎨 Imposter Draw – Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Aakash Ghimire ("Developer", "we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Imposter Draw mobile application (the "App"), available on the Google Play Store under package name com.aakash.imposter_draw.

By using the App you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

The App may request the following device permissions, each used solely for in-game functionality:

• Camera – Used only to scan QR codes for joining game rooms. No photos or videos are captured or stored.
• Microphone – Used only for optional in-game voice chat via peer-to-peer WebRTC connections. Audio is not recorded or stored.
• Local Network / Wi-Fi – Used for LAN-based multiplayer discovery and gameplay when players are on the same network.

2. How We Use Information

All data processed by the App is used exclusively to enable core gameplay features:

• Display name – Shown to other players during a game session.
• Camera input – Decoded locally to read QR codes; not transmitted anywhere.
• Microphone input – Streamed peer-to-peer to other players in your game room during voice chat; not sent to any server.
• Network connections – Game data (drawings, votes, chat) is transmitted between players either directly over your local Wi-Fi network (LAN mode) or through our relay server (Online mode). The relay server does not log or persist any game data.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with any third parties. The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or social-media SDKs.

During Online mode gameplay, game messages are routed through our relay server solely to facilitate the game session. No personally identifiable information is logged or retained by the relay server.

4. Data Retention

• Local data (display name, game settings) is stored on your device only. You can clear it at any time by clearing the App's data or uninstalling the App.
• In-game data (drawings, votes, chat messages) exists only for the duration of a game session and is not persisted after the session ends.
• Server-side data – Our relay server does not store any personal data or game data beyond the active session.

5. Children's Privacy

Imposter Draw is a social party game intended for general audiences. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Since the App does not collect, store, or transmit personal data to external servers, there is minimal risk to children's privacy. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us at aakashghimire@gmail.com and we will take appropriate action.

6. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect data processed by the App. LAN connections operate within your local network, and Online mode uses WebSocket connections to our relay server. Peer-to-peer voice chat is conducted via WebRTC with encrypted media streams (SRTP). However, no method of electronic transmission is 100% secure.

7. Your Rights

Since the App stores data locally on your device, you have full control over your data:

• Access & Deletion – Clear the App's data through your device's settings, or uninstall the App to remove all locally stored information.
• Opt-out of permissions – You can revoke camera or microphone access at any time through your device's system settings.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
